Why We Are Hunting This
On September 15, 2025, Jesse Pollakconfirmedthat a BASE token is under consideration, noting that Coinbase is exploring a network token as a potential tool to help build the next-generation onchain economy. This development marked a seismic shift from previous Coinbase guidance, which maintained that there were “no plans” for a token, and opened the door to a lucrative airdrop for early users.
